La Vie en Rose, Pantone Color of the Year 2016
The first day of Spring may be a little further down the calendar but outside my window almond trees have already blossomed and daylight has started stretching past 6.30pm. Inspired by the beautiful colors outside my window and the Pantone color of the year 2016 I have created a new board on my personal Pinterest account because I think both the rose quartz and serenity colours are so springish! They make me dream of buying a ticket and heading to Paris but then again according to my Instagram feed spring has not reached my favourite travelling destination yet. No matter the problems we are facing here in Greece, on days like these I feel so lucky living in one of the sunniest cities of Europe and on a second thought I wouldn’t change that for any place around the globe!
Spring however, means that afternoons and definitely evenings are a bit chilly and let’s not forget it’s still February so a beautiful coat in pink makes the perfect outerwear to give our looks a touch of spring, doesn’t it?
I have combined it here with my favourite pair of pants (you’ve also seen them here) and a tulle skirt from Alexandra Katsaiti for cocktail hour or when you are feeling extra girly! The pieces I’ve chosen can be worn in different combinations to match your mood and of course the changeable weather.
Wear the pants with the black ballerinas and a t-shirt for a relaxed day at the office and carry the high heels in your bag to wear in case of a meeting or professional appointment. You can also wear the pants with your ballerinas at your shopping spree or a coffee with your bestie! Combine the beautiful tulle skirt with your high heels for a night out and always carry with you that baby blue bag to add an unexpected touch of blue to your look!
So, how do you like my choices? Do you think you’ll be adding the two Pantone colors of the year 2016 in your wardrobe?
